Gasquet And Simon Reach In The 2nd Round At Hassan II

Benoit Paire was beaten by Gilles Simon with the score 6-2, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (5) in an erratic all-French match. The match features 12 breaks of serve to get to the second round of the Grand Prix Hassan II on Monday.

Although Simon had no double-faulted four times and aces, he returned better and able to break the sixth-seeded Paire, seven times from eight chances. The result shows that my overall game was good, otherwise I would have not been the winner.”
He further added, “The game was not at all easy, Fabbiano is also a performing player. At a certain point in the game, I felt I have lost my control and then I regained myself to give a hard it to Fabbiano. All my strategies worked for me and I am happy that now I am in the 2nd round.” He added.
When Gasquet was asked about his preparation for the 2nd round, he said, “I am perfect position right now to give a tough time to my rivals. I am fully prepared now, both physically and mentally.”
Gasquet is confident about his performance and whole body language is showing that. It would be interesting to see, if he could turn it into a win.
